This is the tree that started my journey with the Inspired Trees. This tree was done very intuitively and accidentally. My niece and her young son came to stay with my husband and I after she was abused by her husband. Not until after I was finished painting this watercolor painting was I aware that there seemed to be a woman in a tree form with upraised arms. I named this painting Dani's Tree The Power Within.

When I paint an inspired
Tree, I get a feeling for
the person, their energy,
their aura. If I do not
know the person I use a
picture with a brief
description of their
personality, likes,
dislikes, etc. I then
choose three to four
colors without looking at
my paints. Sometimes I
have a strong feeling
that I should use a
particular color, or even
a certain brush, some
charcoal, salt or other
medium while painting
their tree. I simply paint
intuitively, letting myself
go and letting the paint
and water lead me and
the persons energy
guide me to paint their
own unique Inspired
Tree
life force within you. Some call it the soul, others
their spirit or aura. Whatever you call it, it is an
energy force that connects you with the universal
life source. You can feel the power. It is who you
are. Using the natural energy flow of water and
color the artist paints each Inspired Tree intuitively
to capture a person’s spirit, their own unique energy.
